Zoo Trip!

Well, our zoo trip is now over. It was fun. It would have been even funner if it wasn't so HOT!! The heat made it a little unbearable. But, I did get some good pictures, as you can see in my slideshow. I got a few "special" pictures as well. When we are all admiring the elephants, one of them decided to take a leak. It looked like someone dumped out a bucket of water! It was a lot! I got a picture...couldn't resist! Then the same elephant started taking a dump, too! It was flying out of his butt in huge balls. I got a picture of that too. Hee Hee! I know, I'm sick! But, how many times do you see that at the zoo!! Too funny!

Baseball at Grandma & Grandpa's

Last night, we had dinner with my mom and dad. Afterward, John played some baseball with the kids. Who knew they'd be so good! Brayden loved it so much that he asked me if they could play some more today. They were going back to Grandma and Grandpa's to spend the night tonight. Their cousins were going to be there, too. I'm sure they're having a great time together. They haven't gotten to see their cousins much this summer, so it will be nice to spend some time with them. We are supposed to go to the zoo on Monday....I'm just hoping it doesn't rain! The kids are really looking forward to going. We've not been to the zoo at all this summer yet. The kids love the polar bears, and I must admit so do I! They are fascinating! So, it will be nice if the rain holds off til after our zoo trip....please!!

Avery's Birthday Party!

Well, I know these are a little old, but I wanted to post the pics from Avery's 8th birthday party, June 7, 2008. She had a Hannah Montana themed party~of course! I think that is the theme for just about every girl her age this year! Hannah Montana is big! And now that Camp Rock has come out, now that is the movie and the soundtrack I hear 24/7! Gotta love the Disney Channel! Anyway, Avery's party was a lot of fun! Now, I can't wait til December for Brayden's party! (He can't wait either! He's asks me all the time now "When is my party, mommy?") Enjoy the pics

Last Day of Bible School!

Well...Vacation Bible School has come to an end. Today was the last day. The kids had a great time, and both of them won prizes tonite! They were so excited! They had a competition all week to see who collected the most in their offering buckets, the boys or the girls. The boys won! They had a contest going....if the girls collected the most in their offering bucket, one of the girl leaders would get to put a pie in the face of the Pastor. If the boys collected the most, the Pastor got to put a pie in the face of the girl leader (sorry...I don't know her name :O) So, since the boys won, the Pastor got to put a pie in the girl leader's face. The kids went nuts over that!! Here are some pictures of the kids and their awesome prizes!

Bible School Prizes!

Vacation Bible School is going well. The kids are having a great time. They were told the first night that if they brought friends, they could win prizes, so of course they found some friends to drag along the next night!! Well, it paid off...at least for Brayden! His name got drawn. John was in the room at the time because he was waiting to pick all the kids up, and he said that as soon as they called Brayden's name, he RAN up there to pick out a prize. He was so happy....grinning ear to ear when he got in the car. He chose a nice prize. It was a little suitcase type thing that had a radio in it, a few wristbands, a watch, and a keychain. Of course, Avery was a very sore loser! Ha Ha! Wish I had pictures to show you. Of course I didn't think they'd actually win any prizes, so I didn't have my camera with me! Darn! But, trust me, it was cute! Brayden was so proud!

Nim is growing up!

Our new cat, Nim is getting so big! We bought him on Memorial Day, and he made his "debut" to the family at Avery's 8th birthday party. He was so little then. But, he was very lovable then, and still is. Here is a short video clip of him that I took today. Sorry he's not doing much. He was trying to sleep, and I was bugging him! :O) He's such a pretty kitty!

The kids started Vacation Bible School tonite. I'll try to post pics of that later on in the week. They usually have a family night where the kids can bring their parents to show them what they've been doing all week.

Not much else going on today. It was a horribly busy day at work, as is usual on Mondays! Hope it will be better tomorrow!

Here are some of the pics I took at Cedar Point. We spent this 4th of July there. For the most part, we had a good time. There were a few "meltdowns" (mostly because the kids were tired), but overall it was a lot of fun! I think I got some good pictures of the kids!
