Father's Day!

For Father's Day we went to my sister-in-law's house for dinner. (My husband's step-sister, Whitney). She had a beautiful home, and her dog was HUGE! She has a Great Dane named Marley, and her boyfriend also has a Great Dane named Dudley. They look like horses!! They are so big! They were very nice, though! And, Whitney made a wonderful dinner! It was such a nice time to visit with everybody! We also stopped by at my dad's house and gave him his gift. So thankful to have such a wonderful father! He really does look out for us kids, even though we are adults now! Don't know what we'd do without him!

Mother's Day!

Had a wonderful Mother's Day this year. My family surprised me with a new bead for my Pandora bracelet- the Love Bouquet (it's a bouquet of flowers in sterling silver with yellow gold on the front that says "love"). I love it! It's beautiful! They also took me out to eat and then we went to see a movie- Furry Vengeance starring Brendan Fraser. It was hilarious!! We all loved it! Here are some pics I took of the kids on Mother's Day. (My niece Riley spent the night on Saturday night, so she was with us on Mother's Day for a little bit.)

Our 10th Anniversary!!

It was 10 years ago today that I married this wonderful man! We have definitely had our share of ups and downs, just like everyone else, but I can honestly say that I love him more today than I ever have! I really feel like we are getting closer over the years, and it makes me very happy! I couldn't have asked for a better husband! I don't know what I'd do without him! So, if you're reading this, John, Happy Anniversary! LOVE YOU!!!

Easter Egg Hunt!

Today we went to an Easter Egg Hunt that the town holds every year. There were so many kids there that it was over with in just a few minutes, and the kids only got about 2-3 eggs each. Some kids got none, I noticed! But, Brayden got a golden ticket in one of his eggs, which entitled him to the big prize for his age group (5-6)! He got an Easter basket full of goodies! He was super excited!

New floors, new door, etc.

Well, we've spent the last month remodeling our living and dining rooms, and it's been a LOT of work! But, it's well worth it when we sit and enjoy the results of our labor!! We re-painted everything, got rid of the carpet and installed Mohawk laminate flooring in a coffee walnut strip color, which I love! We also got a new front door, which turned out to be a nightmare to install (thanks to the fact that this is an old home). Oh, and we re-decorated as well. We are so happy with the results!! We had a lot of help, and we are very thankful to everyone that helped us out! My mother-in-law painted the trim for us! Thank you, Jo Anne! Looks amazing! Her good friend, Dave, installed the flooring (w/John's help). Thank you to Dave! Looks awesome!! And, my dad helped install the front door and moulding around the door. It took him 2 days (about 15 hours or so)! But, it looks amazing! We love it! Thanks sooo much dad! Couldn't have done it without everyone's help! Now for the before and after photos....

World's Worst Blogger

Okay....I know I am the world's worst blogger!! I cannot believe I let so much time go by between posts! All I can say is, it was winter and not much was going on! At least nothing blog worthy! So, to fill you in on the happenings with the Wilsons, here are some pictures.....

Happy St. Patrick's Day! The kids were so happy that the weather was pleasant enough to jump on their trampoline!!

Happy Valentine's Day! The kids wanted these puppies from Justice soooo bad! They were thrilled to get them from mommy and daddy for Valentine's Day!

One day while renting videos at the video store, they had these suckers that were shaped like Mater teeth. (Mater is a character in the Disney movie "Cars") The kids loved these! They thought they were so funny!

Actually, I shouldn't say nothing has been going on around here. Actually, within the last several weeks, we've been doing some remodeling. We've put in new flooring in the living and dining rooms, re-painted the living and dining rooms, and re-decorated. We are also putting in a new front door tomorrow! Once everything is completely finished, I will post pictures! So far, it looks amazing! Thankfully, we had help! My mother-in-law came over and painted all the trim for us! What a blessing! She did an awesome job! And, a friend of hers we hired to help put in the floor. He also did an amazing job! I'm so glad it's almost completely finished!
